The mission of Truth Spring is to develop and strengthen the North Highland community with Christ-centered projects and goals. In order to do this we are currently in the process of implementing a strategic plan. The Strategic Plan will be comprised of two areas: Housing and Education.
Strategically, the Housing Initiative’s purpose is to change one neighbor at a time, one house a time. Truth Spring has instituted an innovative approach to providing quality, affordable housing to stable, low-income families/individuals in the North Highland area of Columbus, Georgia. Our program is a faith-based, community-oriented approach that focuses on Truth Spring purchasing homes within the community, renovating those homes, and then placing low-income families into quality housing.
Currently, we have purchased and renovated 3 homes and have placed families into each of those Truth Spring homes. We are now in the process of looking to buy and renovate our 4th home. The Housing Initiative is very exciting for Truth Spring because not only are we providing families with a quality home, but also strategically, we are placing families in those homes whose mission will be to proclaim the light of Christ to a very dark community. Please be in prayer for us as we seek to acquire more homes!
If you would like to be involved in this process, please contact us! We are always looking for donors and willing volunteers!
Strategically, Truth Spring Academy’s purpose is to raise up the next generation of youth to live for and proclaim the life and light of Christ. We will do this by providing the children of North Highland an amazing education while at the same time offering them the Gospel. The power of the Gospel combined with an amazing education equips children with the necessary tools to break generational cycles of poverty and hopelessness. The mission of the school is to rebuild a foundation of Christ-centered living by offering a quality, Christian education that focuses on challenging academics, character development, and servant leadership.
Currently, we have a K4, K5, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. We will be adding a 3rd grade in the Fall of 2018. We will continue to add 1 grade every year until we have a full, K-5th, elementary school.
